The 22-story Printing Craft Building was designed by Edward and John Larkin and erected in 1916 across from Pennsylvania Station. The stone, buff brick and terra cotta facade features gold leaf trademarks of tenants and printers from the past. The building was the largest structure in the country devoted to publishing and printing industries, and the only building in which printing machinery was operated 21 stories above the street.
