1904: Jerry Fox, the Spectacled Cat of Brooklyn Who Saved Borough Hall » Hughes
When Jerry began losing his sight, Dr. Charles F. Hughes reportedly designed some glasses for the cat. You can see the sign for Hughes’ optical business at 59 Court St. in the 1915 photo.
