Ben-Hur at the Broadway Theatre

Ben-Hur, a six-act extravaganza, opened on November 29, 1899, at the Broadway Theater on 7th Avenue at 41st Street. It starred Edward Morgan as Ben Hur, W.S. Hart as Massala, Henry Lee as Simonides, and 32 trained horses from New York’s equine college.
