Thomas “Fatty” Walsh (second from right) was a city alderman, business man, casino owner and gangster who served just one controversial year as warden of the Tombs (1887-1888). It has been said that he is one of several ghosts that haunt the Biltmore Hotel in North Carolina. Also pictured are Charles Luciano and Ed Diamond.
