Point Comfort House, Coney Island

Norton and Murray erected the Point Comfort House, which was later owned by J.B. McPherson, one of the first settlers on the island. In 1879, the house was described as “rustic and cheerful” with “several neatly furnished rooms for sleeping” and 200 bathing houses.
