Blackwell's Island Penitentiary

Jane McAdam was sentenced to six months at the penitentiary on Blackwell’s Island, s the Department of Charities and Correction (DOCC). The DOCC operated the Blackwell Penitentiary, which was erected in 1832 and demolished in 1936.
