Thomas Durland Landon (1865-1934) was Commandant of the Bordentown Military Institute (BMI) in New Jersey from 1881 until his death in 1934. He also served as Major of the 3rd New Jersey Infantry during the Spanish-American War and was commissioned as a Colonel in the Army during World War I. Thomas D. Landon died on October 29, 1934 during a visit to Chicago, Illinois. He is buried in Bordentown Cemetery.
