1921 & 1936: Billy and Rusty, the Famous Felines of the Algonquin Hotel » BenBodne
In 1924 Ben B. Bodne and his bride Mary (pictured here with Harpo Marx) honeymooned at the Algonquin. At the time, he promised his bride he would one day buy the hotel for her. Shortly after Frank Case died in 1946, Ben Bodne retired from the oil business and acquired ownership and operation of the hotel.
