The Revere House at 604-608 Broadway was operated as a hotel and boarding house with restaurant by Timothy J. Coe and and his son, Russell. It was the meeting place of the New York Fat Men’s Association, and it was also the scene of numerous murders and suicides. It was sold for $250,000 in 1896 at auction.
