1891: Old Tom Cat, the Brazen Pampered Pet of New York City Hall » Dutch Church

Middle Dutch Church, New York

The Middle Dutch Church was constructed in 1723 at Nassau and Cedar Street and restored in 1790 following its use as a prison and riding school for the British in 1776. On April 30, 1839, when Marty was just two years old, his mother took him to the church to see former President John Quincy Adams speak at the semi-centennial anniversary of the first inauguration of George Washington.
