M.T. Brennan Hose Co. 60 was named in honor of Matthew. T. Brennan, pictured here, who was a prominent member of the volunteer fire services. After his short stint in the Civil War, Marty Keese was elected foreman of the hose company; he held that position until the volunteer service was disbanded in 1865.
